不過看似一切順景的Ja Morant即將面臨大麻煩，今日曾於休賽季爆出Draymond Green拳擊Jordan Poole的美國媒體《TMZ Sport》就爆出了有關Ja Morant的不利消息。

引用According to police documents, a 17-year-old -- who filed the lawsuit on Sept. 9 -- told cops he was playing in a pickup basketball game with Morant at the house ... when the two got into a verbal altercation.

The plaintiff, according to the docs, said the argument became heated, and he threw a basketball at Morant -- "accidentally" hitting him in the face. The teenager said the Grizzlies point guard then approached him, put his chin on his shoulder, and asked a bystander "Should I do it to him?" The teen says Morant then struck him "with a closed fist, knocking him to the ground."

據《TMZ Sport》引述當地警方的報告，一名17歲青少年於2022年9月時向警方指出他於Morant家中打球時與Morant發生衝突，衝突期間Morant更出拳擊向他的臉上，並將他一拳打倒在地。

引用Ja Morant, on the other hand, claims that he acted in self-defense. The thrown ball was said to be no mere “accidental” hit that knocked him in the head as the teenager started walking threateningly toward him and also shouted threats as he was escorted off the premises.

當時Morant作供指出自己是出於自衛，擊倒17歲青年只是一次意外。當地警方曾對事件進行調查，並於去年十月時取消對Morant的指控。現時Morant及灰熊方面仍未作出任何回應。
